250D is a gorgeous daylight balanced super 8 stock.

this is a special film! if you've ever shot on 250d kodak stock on 16mm or 35mm (or 65mm for that matter) you'll know what a beautiful and versatile stock it is.

kodak don't sell 250D as super 8 but pro8mm makes it, and we love it so we buy it from them and supply it out of london, anywhere, for people who want it too.

250D has the same great colours and daylight balance as kodak 50D, with the same exposure flexibility as 200T. it has great exposure latitude and can looks great in bright sunlight, or in darker conditions.

this is a daylight balanced film. for accurate colours shooting under tungsten light, you’ll need an 80A filter, and the film speed will reduce to ISO 64.

important note:

250D SUPER 8 is hand loaded rather than being machine loaded in a factory. as such, it can run slightly shorter than other super 8 films but we still think it’s worthwhile as it’s such a versatile stock.

to be on the safe side, for straight 8 2024 entries (18fps) please ensure your narrative has wrapped up by 2m55s. for straight 8 shootout entries (24fps) wrap up by 2m12s.

please also note that 250d does not have ‘EXPOSED’ stamped at the end of the roll, but it does have a notch cut so you can see when you have completed the roll.

this film is eligible for use in straight 8 competitions

one cartridge lasts for approx 3min00sec at 18fps, and 2min15sec at 24 fps. (suggested lengths for 250D only due to reason above).
you must shoot 18fps for straight 8 2022 etc competitions, and 24fps for straight 8 shootout only.
