RESULTS ANNOUNCED BY END OF APRIL 2024
our selection process is as follows:
each film is watched by two pre-screeners who score the films and add their comments. pre-screeners are trusted people who’ve made a great straight 8 in the past and have not entered the current year
our team then spot checks and cross checks nearly all of the films, their scoring and comments, before debating and very carefully deciding the top 25 selection. this selection will premiere in one of the best cinemas in london. this year BFI IMAX - the largest screen in the UK
our top 25 selection is then seen by our esteemed jury who get in a tussle as they have to agree which of the 25 will be the top 8 joint winners, which all premiere at cannes. 2024’s jury is still confirming. the jury for 2023 can be seen here
